At VozUp, we take privacy very seriously. This Privacy Policy transparently describes how information is handled within our mobile application available for iOS and Android, fully compliant with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Spanish LOPD-GDD, and Apple and Google Play privacy guidelines.

The application operates entirely on your device with zero external servers or cloud databases.
RAM-Only Audio Processing
Acoustic voice analysis executes in volatile memory; no audio recordings are permanently stored or uploaded to the internet.

Local data is protected with military-grade encryption stored in the OS hardware security enclave (iOS Keychain / Android KeyStore).
Zero Tracking & Telemetry
No analytics SDKs, no advertising networks, and no cross-app tracking or advertising identifiers.
Secure Enclave Biometrics
Face ID / Touch ID / Fingerprint authentication is handled securely by the operating system without app-level access.
Native Secure Payments
Subscriptions are managed natively by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store without access to payment cards or financial data.
1. Core Principle: Privacy by Design (100% Local)
VozUp has been architected and built under the strict principle of Privacy by Design and by Default.
The application operates entirely locally on the user device without requiring connection to external servers for core functionality.
We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal, identifiable, vocal, or health data with our own servers or third parties.
We do not implement third-party analytics tools (such as Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, or AppsFlyer), advertising networks, or user behavioral telemetry.
2. Processed Data and Purpose
To provide vocal training and speech therapy assistance features, the application handles the following categories of data strictly on-device:
2.1 Audio and Voice Data (Microphone)
- Usage:
- VozUp requires microphone access exclusively to perform real-time acoustic analysis (sound intensity in dB, fundamental frequency F0, formants, aperiodicity, and rhythm) necessary for speech exercises and therapy.
- Processing:
- The audio stream is processed directly and exclusively in volatile memory (RAM) via local algorithms and the integrated WORLD acoustic engine (FFI C++).
- Retention:
- Audio captured during therapy sessions is never permanently recorded nor transmitted over the internet. When an exercise concludes, audio memory buffers are immediately discarded.
2.2 Profile, Progress, and Vocal Calibration Data
- Data included:
- Assigned name or nickname, chosen avatar, vocal calibration parameters (pitch floor/ceiling, sound intensity thresholds), completed milestones, experience points (XP), and therapeutic exercise records (such as EMST, syllable matrices, or vocal fatigue logs).
- Purpose:
- To enable individualized training tracking and calibrate acoustic sensitivity thresholds tailored to the user motor and vocal needs.
- Storage and Encryption:
- Stored exclusively on the device inside a local database encrypted via SQLCipher with 256-bit AES encryption. The decryption key resides in the OS secure storage (iOS Keychain or Android KeyStore).
2.3 Biometric Authentication (Face ID / Fingerprint)
To protect access to profile management in shared or clinical environments, the app may request biometric authentication.
This validation is executed in isolation by the operating system. VozUp never accesses, stores, or transmits your biometric data or facial/fingerprint templates.
2.4 In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
If you purchase a VozUp subscription, the transaction is processed directly through Apple App Store (StoreKit) or Google Play Store (Google Play Billing).
VozUp does not collect or have access to your payment card details, bank accounts, or financial billing information.
3. Device Permissions Required
The application requests only the minimum technical permissions essential to execute its local therapeutic functions:

4. Professional Profile Management and Privacy Mode
For speech therapists and healthcare professionals managing multiple profiles on a single device:
VozUp includes a built-in Privacy Mode that visually masks names on screen (e.g., displaying "J. P." instead of "John Doe") to prevent unauthorized viewing (shoulder surfing) in waiting rooms or shared clinics.
All patient data and therapy logs remain solely inside the encrypted local storage of the professional device.

VozUp is a digital vocal support and training tool designed in collaboration with speech therapy professionals and patient associations.

VozUp does not constitute a clinical diagnostic medical device nor does it replace professional medical or speech therapy advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult your neurologist, physician, or certified speech therapist before starting any vocal rehabilitation program.
6. Data Retention and Deletion (ARCO / GDPR Rights)
Because all data is processed and stored solely on your device:

6.1 Control and Deletion Actions
- Individual profile deletion:
- You can delete any individual patient profile and its accumulated history at any time from the app profile management menu.
- Full and permanent deletion:
- You can permanently remove the entire encrypted database and all local data by uninstalling the application or clearing the app storage in your OS Settings.
7. Children's Privacy
VozUp does not knowingly collect or store personal data from children under the age of 13 (or 16 depending on local jurisdiction).
The application requires no email account registration and maintains no cloud user identifiers.
